The election campaign is in full swing and main opposition SYRIZA party has already launched its first political ad, ahead of the national elections to take place on January 25.

The spot starts by showing Prime Minister Antonis Samaras talking about truth and responsibility.

Then, SYRIZA party spokesman Panos Skourletis “dares” the New Democracy spokeswoman to present to the public the email sent by Finance Minister Hardouvelis to the country’s lenders, that contains all of the country’s new commitments. To this request, the ND spokesperson replies that the email will be presented if New Democracy wins the elections, an reply that fails to show due respect to the Greek people, according to SYRIZA.

Thus, the word “dare” of the original game (Tharos in Greek) becomes “audacity” (Thrasos in Greek) in the game played by the government.
