After a year of dating, 42-year-old actress Cameron Diaz and 35-year-old Benji Madden were married on Monday evening in an intimate ceremony at their Los Angeles home. The news was confirmed by the couple’s representative to People.

Over the weekend, the couple hosted an intimate rehearsal dinner at their Beverly Hills home for family and friends that included the participation of Drew Barrymore, Joel Madden and Nicole Richie.

There were over 90 guests in the home and the reception took place under a tent in the couple’s lush backyard where only faily members and special friends attended.

A source told People that the event was hosted in an atmosphere of secrecy with Ms. Diaz telling neighbors that she was having a pre-Golden Globes party.
