Today a new day dawns and calm is needed. The Radical Left Coalition (SYRIZA) Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras, after five months of failed negotiations between his government and Greece’s international creditors sowed panic in the middle of the night with the announcement of a referendum. The government has the responsibility to maintain law, order and the security of citizens as well as the integrity of the country. Whoever thinks that they can toy with Greece through a bogus referendum will note that this is a big mistake.

The way in which the government has placed the country in a dilemma can lead the nation out of the EURO. If YES, prevails then the people will show their desire to remain in Europe and the government will need to resign and announce elections. Will this be done and at what time? At this time, will Europe keep us within or kick Greece out once and for all as it appears to want? If Tsipras’ NO wins then the same deadlock that caused the country to head to a referendum will continue with the EU even more obstinate.

Hence, either way, Greece will continue to be in dire straits.

There is no dilemma. Greeks want Euurope and need to make this clear with a YES to the euro regardless of the confusion that is being created. All the rest can go wherever they want. Good riddance.
