Greek Parliament vice-president and SYRIZA MP Alexis Mitropoulos warned on Friday that his leftist party was mutating into a …neo-liberal party and was being forced to implement a suffocating and anti-social platform.
Speaking before a Parliament group meeting, Mitropoulos, a prominent labour relations attorney, unleashed a stream of harsh criticism against his government.
“The government went to the negotiating table without any plans, without knowledge or preparation, without the finest negotiators”, he said.
He continued by saying that their tactics had failed.
“We are in danger of turning into a left parody and not a left political parenthesis”, Mitropoulos argued. He warned of the risks of a Grexit stressing that the government would be unable to handle such a development.
