Former socialist PASOK Greek prime minister George Andreas Papandreou (GAP) may be exiled from the Greek political scene but those who know the former head of state say that the 63-year-old is calmer and happier than ever. The permanent frown is gone and he is optimistic thanks to one woman – a gym instructress – who has literally changed his life.
Papandreou was known for his athleticism even while PM, but young pilates instructress Artemis Papakonstantopoulou has totally changed his psychology say those in the know.
Friends and foes alike have been impressed by his remarkable zeal during his private pilates lesson. With unparralleled passion, he has turned to Artemis with most of his free time taken up training. He is a particular fan of spinning.
Pilates aficionados say that Artemis is one of the best in the business. At 40 euros per hour she has created a special program for the former PM to ensure that his spiritual and physical condition are at optimum level!

Strength, flexibility, humοr
Apart from passion for pilates, Artemis and Papandreou also share a love for the United States where the young instructress had trained.
Papandreou is charmed by Artemis, but his wife – Ada – doesn’t seem to share his passion for pilates or Artemis.

In fact, Ada, Papandreou’s childhood sweetheart, is going through a lonely stage. Papandreou’s sports training and speeches around the world in exchange for money for half the year have resulted in the loneliest stage of their 26-year relationship. In the past she would accompany him on his trips abroad, but not even the joys of travel are enough to entice her. She appears slimmer and blondr than ever and has created her own program focused on Margarita, her only child, and on those close to her.

Margaret appears to be the only link between the couple these days, who seem more estranged as time passes.

The days when Ada and George Papandreou were inseparable are in the past. Now, they are hardly seen together. In fact, the person Papandreou sees more than ever these days is Artemis.
