The young women were invited to join him at his £1,000-per-night table and then were offered a ride home in his Aston Martin. The three went to his apartment, drank designer Roberto Cavalli vodka before the 24-year-old had sex in the bedroom with him.

The 18-year-old said she was woken in the early hours with the businessman straddling her and forcing himself inside her. The man claims he had accidentally fallen on the youngster and that is how traces of his DNA were found in her vagina. He says that she had tried to seduce him when he offered her comfortable clothes ot sleep in or a taxi ride home.

The jury acquitted the man of rape after just 30 minutes of deliberations. They agreed with his view that it was possible for him to have had semen on his hands following the sexual encounter with her friend.
