Vangelis Polydorou, who is half Greek, half-Scottish, participated in the blind auditions of The Voice UK and performed ‘Do You Really Want To Hurt Me’ song.

The judges were amazed by his stunning performance with three of them pushing the button. Vangelis chose Boy George to be his coach, who made an astonishing statement.

He said that he did not want his record company to put out his hit song Do You Really Want To Hurt Me.

“You’ve got a vulnerability to your voice” he told Vangelis adding “but I’ll tell you a funny story, when the record company wanted to put that out I was really against it because for me it was really personal.”

“It was about a relationship and I thought it was too slow, and I marched into the record company and told them: ‘If you put this out, my career’s over’.
