President Prokopis Pavlopoulos sent a message to FYROM, Turkey and other European Union countries that don’t follow the principles of solidarity, humanity, democracy and justice in tackling the refugee crisis, during an event for the presentation of an archive of Pontic Greeks in Thessaloniki.
“The leadership of FYROM must realize in time that claiming names with the aim of forging history, but also with barbed wires and barbarous acts against refugees, they are overtly infringing European principles and values and so they have no place in the European Union. This is clear and nonnegotiable,” Mr. Pavlopoulos said.
