A day after the EU and Turkey sealed a deal on the refugee/migrant crisis in Brussels, the refugees and illegal immigrants trapped on the northern borders of Greece at the Idomeni camp had a sense of disappointment and uncertainty as to what lies ahead. Many hoped that a deal would include the opening up of the borders towards northern Europe. 23-year old Syrian refugee Haled, who fled Aleppo to reach Germany and pursue his studies  and ‘live a normal life’, as he says, came to Europe he believed he would find freedom. ‘Instead we found ourselves trapped’, he said. Fatima, who is also from Syria wanted to go to Germany and give her children a second chance. ‘I am disappointed in Europe. I thought the borders would open’, she said. Fatima thanked the Greek people for ‘giving their souls for us’, she said.
