An article published by newspaper TA NEA claims that Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras did not declare his participation in a company nor an amount of money received from his sister after transferring his share to her.

According to the article, Mr. Tsipras did not included in wealth assets declaration his participation in Agnati GP founded by him, Nikos Pappas and another member of SYRIZA in 2007, nor the amount of money of 33,000 euros received from his sister for transferring his share to her in January 2010, while he had been elected MP three months earlier.

In 2007, the company bought a 6,055 square meters plot in Serifos for 40,000 euros.

Mr. Tsipras responded to the article saying: “Mr. Psycharis must be in great despair. While all journalists in the world highlight the  Panama Papers leak, TA NEA publishes another huge revelation”.

“The Prime Minister in 2007 before even being President of SYRIZA had the nerve to make ends meet by exercising his profession and not through donations of big companies-suppliers of the Greek state,” he continued adding that “The Prime Minister has declared his participation in the specific company in 2010”.
