The leader of main opposition New Democracy, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, started his speech in the Parliament on the debate over the omnibus bill to be voted in a few hours and lashed out at the government and Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras.
“I do not know what is worse, a prime minister who is a liar or a prime minister who has delusions and does not understand what is happening. Either you are a liar or a man with delusions, you do not deserve being a prime minister of this country.” Mr. Mitsotakis said adding: “Apart from the delusions, there was also an organized and political fraud”.
He accused the government of bringing the citizens to their knees and that the indirect taxes are the most unjust taxes.
Referring to the equivalents, Mr. Mitsotakis said: “You are legislating your delusions. Shame on you”! He also said: “The mechanism measures your personal credibility Mr. Tsipras,” adding that “They are humiliating you with the mechanism and the superfund and insulting the Greek people. Today is a day of shame for the Greek parliament”.
