1996 Imia Crisis: A photo documenting the morale of the Greek pilots! (RARE PHOTO)

345 Bomber Sq.'s A-7H Corsair pilots before a mission in the Aegean Sea

The Greek website e-amyna.com has released a rare photo taken inside the 345 Bomber Sq. It shows A-7H Corsair pilots after the briefing of the real missions they were about to undertake in minute’s notice at the night of the Imia Crisis, 21 years ago to the day.

In the picture we can see the pilot’s morale as they are smiling with their guns in their hands. Behind them a trained eye can just notice a few indicative details that hind of one of their operational objectives…
