We have all seen players on football fields over-exaggerating when fouled in their efforts to deceive the referees into showing a yellow or red card against opponents. But, as a video shows, this fakery is a two-way stream. A referee in Brazil bounced back as if hit by a high electric current when a player he was about to penalise with a yellow card merely touched him. The unfortunate player finally picked up a red card, instead, after the referee-actor judged he had been “assaulted”.
