All three are expected to strongly condemn the Turkish actions, both in the Cyprus EEZ and in Syria.

The Egyptian is at loggerheads with his Turkish counterpart, following the latter’s support of the banned Muslim Brotherhood. Following the expulsion of the Islamic group from Egypt in 2013, the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood settled in Turkey, where it launched media operations, including television stations. Egypt called on the international community to condemn Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, speaking of “crimes” committed by both himself and the jihadist allies.

Sisi has accused Erdogan of supplying weapons to ISIS rebels and providing them safe havens in an apparent breach of the UN Security Council resolutions. Such is the bellicosity between the two men that during the recent UN Summit in New York, Sisi literally turned his back on Erdogan when they crossed paths. t
