Kostas Tsimikas vowed to give everything he’s got when wearing the famous Liverpool shirt shortly after signing his long-term contract with the club.
The Greek left-back completed his transfer to the Reds from Olympiakos at Melwood on Monday to bolster Jürgen Klopp’s defensive ranks prior to the start of the 2020-21 campaign.
And speaking in an exclusive interview with Liverpoolfc.com from the club’s training base, the new No.21 detailed his joy and future aims as he realised a lifelong dream by making the switch.
The “reds” made the move official with a video on social media in which he is wearing the jersey of his new team for the first time, while seconds later the club issued the announcement. Tsimikas signed a 5-year contract and was photographed with the … smile on his face! It makes sense, after all, that he will continue his career in the English Premiers and European champions!
The Greek player will play with the number 21 on his jersey, just like at his previous club Olympiakos, while according to the report, Piraeus will reap the amount of 16.5 million euros and maintain a resale rate of 20%. At the same time, there are bonuses for achieving goals that can take the deal to the next level and reach 20 million euros in total!
