A powerful earthquake was recorded near the Greek island of Crete a short while ago.
According to the Geodynamic Institute, the earthquake had a magnitude of 5.4 on the Richter scale and occurred 19 kilometres southwest of Arvi.
The quake had a focal depth of 40,5 km.
