Greece: Two free self tests for all citizens for the holidays (video)

Kyriakos Mitsotakis in the cabinet meeting rejected the possibility of mandatory rapid tests for the vaccinated

Newsroom December 21 12:55

The scenario for testing of all vaccinated citizens in order to enter indoors public activities for Christmas and New Year was overturned, as the Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

During the cabinet meeting he spoke only about two self tests which will be given free of charge to all citizens.

Kyriakos Mitsotakis said during the cabinet meeting that there will be no rapid tests for the vaccinated on Christmas Eve and New Year events.

As he added, the platform will be reopened for free self tests to all citizens, vaccinated or not, during the holidays.

It is recalled that earlier, the government spokesman, Giannis Oikonomou, had anticipated this development, saying in a morning appearance on a TV show that “the possibility of reopening the platform for providing free self-tests to citizens to examine the epidemiological situation is being considered”.
