Elon Musk’s brain implants are under investigation

Just another day at the office

Newsroom March 1 10:16

Elon Musk still hopes to implant human brains with a neural interface, but now he faces an annoying obstacle: His company, Neuralink, is under investigation by the United States Department of Transportation, of all agencies.

Following a letter from the Physicians Committee of Responsible Medicine to the DoT, Reuters reports the department opened an investigation into Neuralink over the potential illegal movement of hazardous pathogens after the implants were removed from the brains of monkeys.

But Musk isn’t there yet, and plenty of testing is still needed.
