Heavy rainfall has caused traffic problems in Athens. Specifically, according to information from the Police, due to water accumulation, the traffic of vehicles was interrupted on both streams of Pireos Street from Petrou Rallis Street to Chamosterna Street.
In addition, for the same reason, traffic has been interrupted on Poseidonos Avenue, in the direction of Glyfada, from the height of the exit to Syngrou Avenue.
At the same time, the Police stopped the traffic on Constantine Karamanlis Avenue, at the height of the Asklepios Voulas Hospital, in the direction of Athens.
Also, the Evaggelismos Metro station was temporarily closed due to water ingress at the upper level of the station from the entrances. Trains are passing through the station without stopping.
