Platanioti: The dance that won her the silver medal at the World Championship (video-photos)

Evangelia Platanioti danced the Zorba's sirtaki in the pool of Doha and amazed the audience and judges

From the music of “Dance of death” and “Black Crow” to “Zorba” and Mikis Theodorakis!

Evangelia Platanioti took off her black full-body swimsuit that she wore in the final she won the Gold medal of the technical program in the solo event at the World Artistic Swimming Championship and wore the blue and white to dance the most famous sirtaki in the world!

The one Mikis Theodorakis wrote and Anthony Quinn danced.

Michalis Kakogiannis’ film was released in 1965, and in 2024, with the famous sirtaki, Evangelia Platanioti won the silver medal in the free program of the solo event.

Evangelia and her coaches chose a piece with a strong Greek flavor, danced in the water, and were cheered by the audience in the Doha pool.
