The German track and field champion will be competing in the stadiums of Paris

Newsroom May 8 11:46

Alisa Schmidt is packing her bags for Paris. The German track and field athlete, who has been hailed by her fans and websites for years as the ‘sexiest athlete in the world,’ qualified for the upcoming 2024 Olympic Games in the mixed 4x400m relay after participating in the World Athletics Relays in the Bahamas over the weekend.

“What a night!” she wrote in the caption of an Instagram Story on Sunday, featuring her compatriots German athletes Manuel Sanders, Johanna Martin, and Emil Agyekum. “From paradise to Paris,” she also wrote after the races in the Bahamas.

Schmidt, who has seven million followers across her Instagram and TikTok pages, posted on Sunday on the video platform that ‘the Olympic season is officially underway,’ with fans wishing her luck in the comments. Schmidt traveled to Tokyo for the 2021 Summer Games but did not compete. She then announced her plans to ‘take a break’ from the sport. Now she is back in action and will be at the most significant sporting event.
