A car accident involving a young man occurred Friday afternoon (10/5) on the old national road from Kalamata to Tripoli, near Anthia in the municipality of Kalamata. According to ERT, at 18:30, a car driven by a 36-year-old man heading towards Tripoli veered off course for unknown reasons and collided with a column of the Public Power Corporation (DEI).

From the intense collision, the car veered off the road. The driver was extracted from the vehicle unconscious, and a while before his death which was confirmed at the General Hospital of Kalamata. An investigation is being conducted by the Kalamata Traffic Department to determine the cause of the fatal accident.
