Two dead and one person in critical condition is the toll of the shooting targeting former US President Donald Trump at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania.

One is so far reported to be the perpetrator of the attempted assassination of Trump and the second is a civilian from the crowd at the rally. According to the same information, one more person has been injured and is in critical condition.
According to a testimony reported by the BBC, just before the shots were heard, an armed man on the roof of a building was noticed preparing to shoot while Trump continued to stand on the podium. Within seconds, at least five shots were heard and Secret Service agents rushed to remove the former US president and re-candidate from the podium.

Shortly afterwards, video was released showing a man lying dead and it is suspected to be the shooter:
