Thodoris Vlachos’s team did not face the unexpected events that occurred after the morning practice. Except for a period at the end of the second quarter when the Romanians closed the gap to three goals, the team was never seriously threatened by its opponent.
From the very start, our representative team took the lead with 4-1 and 7-2. Although the Romanians managed to reduce the score to 9-6 at the beginning of the third quarter, in the remaining minutes, with a 5-1 run, we reached the impressive final score of 14-7.
However, tougher challenges await the blue and white team as their next opponent is Montenegro on Tuesday (30/7) at 8:30 PM Greek time.
The quarter scores (with Romania as the nominal home team): 2-4, 3-5, 1-2, 1-3.
