Alert in central Israel for hostile drone – Reports of damage to a building

An alarm was raised in central Israel on Friday night (October 11) due to the infiltration of a drone

Newsroom October 11 10:44

Sirens initially sounded in Herzliya, Ramat HaSharon, and surrounding communities.

Later, the IDF (Israeli Defense Forces) announced that they attempted to intercept a drone over central Israel while warning of possible explosions. They stated that “multiple interceptions were attempted.”

Residents reported hearing several explosions.

The incident has concluded. According to reports, a building was hit, though it remains unclear whether the damage was caused by the drone or one of the interception missiles.

The incident occurred as Israelis were celebrating Yom Kippur, the holiest day of the year for Jews, during which all activities cease.
