The Board of Directors of the Union of Judicial Officers of the Council of State has changed its baton, as the new President of the Association for the next two years is State Counsel Sofia Vitali, replacing the current President of the Association for two terms, State Counsel Panagiotis Tsoukas.
In particular, the new Board of Directors of the Association of Judicial Officers of the CoE, which emerged from the elections of 30 October 2024, was constituted as follows:
Chairman: Sophia Vitali,
Secretary General: Konstantinos Georgakopoulos,
Vice-Chairman: Christos Negris,
Treasurer:Irini Spanaki and
Member: Konstantina Skoura.
She was appointed Rapporteur of the Council of State, as a graduate of the National School of Public Administration, in 1990.
He was promoted to the rank of Deputy President in 1997 and to the rank of State Counselor in 2013.
In 2001, he received the L.L.M. de droit francais europeen et international des affaires from the Pantheon – Assas University (Paris II), while also doing a traineeship at the Conseil d’Etat.
He was vice-president of the Association of Judicial Officers of the Council of State and a member of the Central Legal Drafting Committee.
He also served as a member of the Supreme Disciplinary Council under Article 91 of the Constitution, President of the Secondary Disciplinary Council for employees of the Public Service, member of the Central Legal Preparatory Committee and member of the Special Court under Article 86 para. 4 of the Constitution.
Finally, he is a member of the Association of European Competition Law Judges (AECLJ).
