American director and screenwriter Jeff Baena, husband of actress Obray Plaza, has died at the age of 47, according to Sky News.
Baena, best known for films such as “Life After Beth” and “The Little Hours,” in which Plaza starred, leaves behind an important cinematic legacy. His family, according to Deadline, said they are “devastated” and asked that their privacy be respected at this difficult time. The circumstances of his death are not yet clear.
According to TMZ, the director was found dead Friday at his Los Angeles-area home.
Aubrey Plaza, 40, best known for the TV series “Parks And Recreation” and “The White Lotus” as well as the movie “Emily The Criminal,” had been in a relationship with Baena since 2011 and were married in 2021. The couple collaborated on several films.
