Farmers in Thessaly are mobilizing on Thursday. In particular, tomorrow at noon two large blockades will be formed at Girtoni (on the PATHE outside Larissa) and on the E65 in Karditsa. Also, at 12 noon the farmers of Magnesia will set up a blockade at Rizomilos on the old highway Larissa Volos, as decided at a meeting last night.

Next week the farmers will also form a blockade outside Trikala, on the Larissa – Trikala – Ioannina highway.

What they are demanding

Farmers, for yet another year, are demanding lower production costs with tax-free oil, guaranteed prices for their products and a change in the ELGA regulation so that they are compensated at 100% of the damage.
