Benjamin Netanyahu sent a message of support to Elon Musk in the wake of accusations against him of a Nazi salute during a speech after Trump’s inauguration.

Musk is “falsely slandered,” Netanyahu wrote in X. “Elon is a great friend of Israel. He visited Israel after the October 7 massacre… Since then, he has repeatedly and forcefully supported Israel’s right to defend itself against genocidal terrorists and regimes seeking to eliminate the one and only Jewish state. I thank him for this,” the Israeli prime minister added.

It will be recalled that Musk, who has been a staunch supporter and ally of US President Donald Trump, made an outstretched hand gesture on Monday that many saw as a “Nazi salute”, although the Anti-Defamation League (a New York-based non-governmental organization founded to combat anti-Semitism) called it just an “awkward gesture”.
