Mystery surrounds the disappearance of a 62-year-old man whose whereabouts went missing about a month ago in Glyfada.
According to reports, the bizarre story began to unfold on January 7 when officers from the Rapid Response Unit spotted his car parked in Omonia. The doors were unlocked and his car was in a conspicuous spot.
Then police officers, believing it was a theft, started looking for the owner but were unable to locate him.
A few days later and specifically on January 14, a cousin of the missing man went to the Glyfada police station and declared his disappearance.
According to well-informed sources, a search of the 62-year-old’s house followed without finding any evidence that would raise suspicions or suspicions that the man may have been a victim of criminal activity, and a silver alert was subsequently issued for his disappearance.
Both the man’s car and his cellphone are in the Criminal Investigation Department, and a request has been made to lift phone privileges.
The investigation by the National Police is ongoing with officers leaving all possibilities open.
