The students, from two Athens high schools on a school trip, are staying at the same hotel

Newsroom February 5 03:49

Unexpected incidents occurred during a school trip of two high schools from Athens to Chania when several students began experiencing gastrointestinal issues.

According to flashnews.gr, on Tuesday night, more than 20 students from both schools started arriving at the emergency department of Chania General Hospital, reporting diarrhea, while some also had a fever.

Reports indicate that all the students were staying at the same hotel in a suburban area.

Doctors provided medical assistance and advice while also collecting samples to determine the cause of the symptoms. At the same time, the hospital notified the National Organization for Healthcare Services Provision (EOPYY), the Health Directorate, and all relevant authorities.
