Unique moments unfolded at midnight on Sunday in Piraeus when the country’s largest port “caught fire” for the 100th anniversary of Olympiacos.
Drone video captured unique footage of what happened in Piraeus to celebrate the one century of life of the laurel-crowned teenager.
Thousands of Olympiacos fans took to the streets of Faliro, sang slogans of their favorite team, lit smoke bombs and the sky was lit up by dozens of sparklers.
The focus of the celebrations was in Piraeus, but fans of the Red and Whites also threw their own party at the Acropolis.

The event will continue today with ELTA issuing stamps commemorating the 100th anniversary of Olympiacos. At the Piraeus Central Branch, ELTA will celebrate this occasion with the family and friends of Olympiacos with a special event. Former and current Olympiacos players will be in attendance.
Also, from noon to evening, all the European trophies of Olympiacos’ team sports will be exhibited for the public in the courtyard of the Municipal Theater, giving people the opportunity to have their photos taken with the 2 European cups. The Municipal Theater of Piraeus will be illuminated with the anniversary logo of Olympiacos on Monday as well (which was also done on Sunday).
Finally, at 19:25 ((since Olympiacos was founded in 1925), an impressive drone show will take place at the port of Piraeus, which will be visible from all corners of Piraeus and Athens. It will last for approximately 15 minutes.
