The quadrilateral summit between Greece, France, Cyprus and Lebanon is underway, with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis walking through the doors of the Elysium Palace just before 12:30 p.m. (local time).
It is noted that Syria‘s interim president, Al-Saara, will also participate in the summit via teleconference, while the focus will be on the challenges in the Eastern Mediterranean and the issues of security, connectivity and energy.
The Greek Prime Minister, in December 2024, was the first European leader to visit Lebanon after the ceasefire and among other things, he had underlined that Greece is ready to support the country in its reconstruction.
