A 7-year-old child was found by police officers from the Immediate Response Unit in Chania wandering alone in the streets of Chalepa yesterday afternoon (Sunday, March 30).
The child’s unusual behavior raised suspicions among the officers.
It was eventually determined that the 7-year-old, who has autism, had slipped out from his father’s supervision and managed to leave the house unnoticed.
The 34-year-old Syrian father was arrested on charges of child endangerment.
