An arrest warrant has been issued for the biological father of 3-year-old Angelos in Heraklion by the investigating judge in the case of the boy’s death, cretalive.gr.The biological father of the 3-year-old boy is accused of methodical infliction of pain with danger to the child’s life, but also of exposing a minor to danger, among other things, and is called to apologize before the competent Heraklion interrogator.
The young man had received a relevant summons to apologize since March, but until today he had not appeared before the competent investigating authority. As a result, the investigator proceeded to issue a warrant against him.
One of the defence lawyers, Ms Panagiotidou, speaking on a STAR programme, had said that it was not possible to do so earlier as she had a travel ban on the day she was due to travel. She speculates, however, that because no summons has been sent to the biological father, a warrant may have been issued by the investigator handling the case.
These accusations against the young man, who had not identified the deceased Angelos, were allegedly derived from some findings of the forensics and disputed video footage found on a mobile phone.
In detail, charges have been brought against the biological father for exposing a minor to danger and causing bodily injury and damage to health that constitute methodical infliction of severe physical pain, physical exhaustion, dangerous to health, and mental pain, capable of causing serious mental harm, with a minor as the victim.
