With spring weather begins the return of the Easter holidaymakers – The forecast of EMY

High temperatures are expected both today and the next days of the week

The weather will be a boon for holidaymakers today, with temperatures remaining high both today and over the next few days this week.

Specifically, according to the EMY forecast, thin clouds are expected today in places and occasionally thicker, while the temperature will remain spring-like, reaching as high as 26 degrees in places. In the midday – afternoon hours in the central and northern continental areas, local rain or rain will occur, while in the mountainous areas of Macedonia, Epirus and Thessaly, isolated thunderstorms will occur.

Visibility in the morning and evening hours mainly in the central and northern regions will be limited in places.

Winds will blow variable 3 to 4 and in the southern seas gradually from easterly directions up to 5 Beaufort.

The temperature will not change significantly. It will reach 23 to 25 and locally 26 degrees Celsius on the mainland and 21 to 23 degrees Celsius on the islands.

Forecast for Tuesday

A few clouds, partly increasing initially in the west and south and gradually in the rest of the country. Local showers and thunderstorms will occur initially in the Ionian Sea, the Peloponnese and western Crete, at noon – afternoon in Central Greece, Epirus, in the rest of the continental areas (except Thrace) mainly in the mountains and the Cyclades and from the afternoon hours in the Dodecanese and the northeastern Aegean islands. It is noted that in most areas the phenomena will have a short duration.

Visibility in the morning hours in the central and northern continental areas will be limited in some places.

The transport of African dust to the south is favoured.

Winds will blow east northeast 3 to 5 and in the southern seas locally 6 Beaufort, gradually becoming north northwest in the western part of the country.

The temperature will not change significantly. It will reach 22 to 24 and in some places 25 degrees Celsius on the mainland and 21 to 23 degrees Celsius on the islands.

Weather forecast for Wednesday

In Thrace and the Aegean generally clear weather with occasional local clouds. In the rest of the country a few clouds, locally increasing from midday. Local showers and thunderstorms will occur, mainly in the midday – afternoon, in Epirus, western Macedonia, western Sterea and in the mountainous areas of the rest of the continental regions.

Winds will blow west northwest, in the northeastern part of the country northeast, 3 to 5 Beaufort.

The temperature will not change significantly.

Forecast for Thursday

Intermittently increasing clouds with local showers and thunderstorms on the mainland and in the morning hours on the islands. Gradual improvement in most areas from the afternoon.

Winds will blow west northwest 4 to 5 and in the south sea 6 Beaufort.

The temperature will drop slightly towards its maximum values in the Ionian Sea and the mainland.
