Tempi report presented in Parliament: Examining potential responsibilities of Karamanlis and Spirtzis

The appellate investigator has sent the file to the Supreme Court, as he "stumbled" upon the aforementioned political figures after the testimonies of two officials from the Ministry of Transport, and it has already been forwarded to Parliament

The file concerning the investigation of potential criminal responsibilities of the former Ministers of Infrastructure and Transport for the period from January 1, 2016, to February 28, 2023, has been forwarded to Parliament by the appellate investigator from Larissa, Sotiris Bakaimis, regarding the Tempi case.

The dossier was submitted to Parliament late on Monday afternoon, and the accompanying document states:

“We submit to you, in accordance with the provisions of Article 86, paragraphs 1 and 2 of the Constitution and Law 3126/2003 ‘on the criminal liability of ministers,’ a document that we received from the appellate investigator (of Larissa) in the Tempi case, Sotiris Bakaimis, along with the electronic form of the entirety of the investigative file formed to date.”

In his document, the appellate investigator states that during the main investigation conducted by him, elements emerged that are related to the criminal offenses mentioned in Article 1, paragraph 1 of Law 3126/2003, which are forwarded, without evaluation, for the investigation of possible criminal liability of the former Ministers of Infrastructure and Transport for the period from January 1, 2016, to February 28, 2023.

The period under scrutiny concerns the actions of former ministers Christos Spirtzis and Kostas Ach. Karamanlis.
