The nightmare he lived through the hands of the four people, including the well-known trapper Ivan Greco, who took him away on the morning of May 6 from the area of Ymittos, was described by the 24-year-old son of the businessman to the authorities.
In his statement, which is available to protothema.gr, the man recounts what happened before and after the abduction, during which the perpetrators beat him savagely until he finally managed to escape and denounce the incident to the ELAS.
The love message
As the victim said in his statement, the problems started when his partner received an erotic message on Instagram from one of the defendants, and he wanted to reply that she was already in a relationship.
The communication was interrupted, but three months later, the two men met by chance in Iliopolis, and that’s when his adventure began, he alleges.
“About three months later, at midday, I met him by chance in the area of Iliopoli, where he approached me and asked me if I was C. When I answered in the affirmative, he shook my hand and introduced himself to me as Alexandros. As soon as I gave him my hand, he pulled it down with force, and with his left hand, he attacked me with his fists in my face. I immediately fled and he pulled out a black pistol, which he advanced towards me, while shouting “come here you f…“”. I continued to run in fear for my life and went into an apartment building to hide. He didn’t follow me,” the 24-year-old described.
The beating at the garage
Following the above, the victim wanted to contact the man in order to resolve the misunderstanding and put an end to his adventure with the latter responding that he was not interested in resolving it. The next “episode” of his adventure would take place a few days later.
“On 6/5/2025, I went to a garage in Ymittos and met the owner to give me some jewelry. Before we had time to discuss, the… (referring to three of the four defendants) and the defendant came towards me, grabbed me hard, and asked me to enter the garage. At the same time, the other two defendants attacked the owner of the garage with their fists. (…) The defendant hit me with the tip of a screwdriver on my right leg and dragged me out of the garage to their car. They then forcibly placed me in the back seat. Once they all got into the vehicle, I was told “Jackpot, now you will pay” and the defendant just told me “he has fined me 25k, P. and C. (two of the defendants) 10k, 15k to me and an XR“. By XR, he was referring to a BMW motorcycle, which is worth at least 25,000 euros,” the 24-year-old said.

Then, as described by the victim, one of the accused took the shoulder bag he was wearing and told him that they were going to the family’s house in Saronida as he was sure that the family had €50,000 in that house.
“We drove to my house, where during the journey, P. (accused) kept hitting me with his hands and the screwdriver, and I insisted on telling him that I had no money in the house. P. was telling me that he would not let me go unless I found the money, and I promised him that I would find it. At some point, P. made a video call with S. (trapper) and asked him to get the gun and come to Saronida. After some time, when we arrived a few meters away from my house, P. took out my house keys from my purse and told me, together with C., that they would enter my house if I did not find the money. I told them again that I don’t have money in my house, but I will find it and asked them not to get my family involved.”.
The gun
After that, the victim and the perpetrators left the scene and stopped a short time later outside a kiosk. The group members then started beating him again, asking him to find the money.
The 24-year-old then decided to call a friend and ask for financial help. His friend told him he didn’t have that much money, but assured him he would raise as much as he could.
The 24-year-old then called a friend and asked him for money with the latter responding that he had €5,000 and that he would try to raise the rest of the money elsewhere. In the end, he managed to raise a total of 15,000 euros.
“Once they knew that I could give them 15,000 euros, two of the defendants insisted that they wanted the 10,000 euros, and when I replied that I could not collect any more, S. (accused trapper) took out of his shoulder bag and handed P. a Glock pistol. As soon as P. received it, he armed it and pointed it at me, saying that he would kill me if I did not get the rest of the money, while C. (defendant) urged him to shoot me.
(…) When I told them that I had no money, they asked me to transfer my car, which is worth at least 10,000 euros. (…) To threaten me, C. took out a small cutlass and handed it to P. and urged him to cut my fingers. After a while, they stopped trying, and P. took the wrench and started hitting me all over my body while C. was punching me”.
The escape
The time had reached about 9.00 – 9.30, and P told the others to get going so that we could go to collect the 15,000 euros that had been collected so far. He took my mobile phone, called my friend, and asked him to meet him outside a gym in Glyfada, he noted.
And so they did. They started moving toward Glyfada, but because of the increased traffic,c P. got out of the vehicle and got on the trapper’s motorcycle. A few meters further on, one of the defendants told the other who was in the car with the victim to get out of the vehicle and put on the child safety seat so that the victim would not be able to escape. It was then that he managed to escape.
“As soon as P. (defendant) tried to open my door, I pushed it with force and ran away, taking my purse with all my personal belongings, and entered a store. They did not follow me, picked up speed, and drove off in the car,” he recounted.
“There’s an XR to bring.”
The 24-year-old then said he met a friend outside the Glyfada police station, adding that no one bothered him throughout the day. The next day, however, things changed.
“At 23.00 the next day (7/5), P. (one of the accused) called me via an online application and ironically asked me “what’s going on now?”. I hung up on him. At 23.00 the next day (8/5), P. (another defendant) sent me a message via an app in which he told me exactly, “It’s also an XR to bring an XR, but I’m just not pushing you because you had a hard time! I expect you to bring it yourself, don’t bother me! Good night“.
