Hawaii is on alert as one of the planet’s most active volcanoes has erupted again, providing a spectacular sight.
According to the Hawaii Volcano Observatory, lava fountains are being ejected up to 300 meters high — nearly the height of the Eiffel Tower.
Volcanic activity has been fluctuating since last December. The most recent eruption occurred on December 23, but the volcano’s activity shows intermittent intensity, with eruptive episodes lasting from as little as 13 hours up to eight days.
