At least two people died and several others were injured – one source said four were taken to the hospital, another said at least nine were injured – by gunfire last Monday night (local time) in Fairmount Park in Philadelphia, US television networks reported, citing their police sources.
TV station WPVI, owned by the national ABC News network, reported two dead and at least nine injured, stressing that at least two of the victims were teenagers and reporting that its helicopter captured a large police mobilization.
CBS News reports that the mass shooting – gun attacks with four or more victims, in the terminology of U.S. law enforcement – was committed during a motorists’ meeting.
Police did not immediately respond when asked for comment by Reuters news agency.
