Marinakis on the signatures of the “32”: blatant attempt to exploit the national tragedy of Tempi

Their signature on the request to indict Kyriakos Mitsotakis for the crime of high treason constitutes a black page in the political history of the country, the government spokesman said

Newsroom June 5 09:56

“The moral and political downhill slide of the opposition, unfortunately, not only continues, but intensifies,” government spokesman Pavlos Marinakis said, commenting on the alliance for the Tempi in which MPs of Course of Freedom, Hellenic Solution, Nike and Stefanos Kasselakis signed the proposal of Maria Karistianou.

Mitsotakis on “executive state”: Parliament and government have different responsibilities, we understand the role of MPs

“The signature of 32 members of the Hellenic Parliament on the request to indict Kyriakos Mitsotakis up to the crime of high treason constitutes a black page in the political history of the country. This is not because the proposal for the establishment of a preliminary investigation committee is directed against the Prime Minister of the country, elected by the Greek citizens, but because it is an accusation without the slightest legal, logical and moral basis and exceeds any limit of absurdity”, the government spokesman also notes and adds.

“This proposal is another vulgar attempt to exploit the national tragedy of Tempi. Disregarding the truth, the signatory MPs seek, in the most repulsive way, to collect votes, insulting both the memory of 57 people and the popular demand for justice and truth. They have learned nothing from the plots of alleged illegal cargo and alleged cover-ups.

Citizens for the Tempi demand justice and truth, far from miserable attempts at instrumentalization by the opposition parties.”
