A drone attack in the Ukrainian town of Priluki was carried out overnight by Russia, with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky revealing a family tragedy as one of the drones wiped out the family of the local fire chief.
Zelensky said the total of five dead included the wife, daughter, and 1-year-old grandchild of the firefighter, who was part of the operation to locate victims among the debris from the Russian attack.
According to Ukraine’s president, this child is the 632nd to have lost his life since the start of the war in Ukraine.
“Russia is constantly trying to buy time to continue the killings. When it does not feel strong enough condemnation and pressure from the world, it kills again,” Mr Zelensky wrote in his post on X, according to which overnight, Ukraine was attacked by 103 drones and one ballistic missile, targeting the regions of Donetsk, Kharkiv, Odessa, Sumy, Chernihiv, Dnipro and Kherson.

“This is yet another reason to impose maximum sanctions and to exert joint pressure. We expect action from the United States, Europe, and everyone who can help change these horrific conditions. Strength matters, and war can only end with strength. Moscow must be pressed with all available means and gradually deprived of its ability to continue these aggressive tactics.”
