A new incident at the Standing Committee on Public Administration, Public Order and Justice, starring Zoe Konstantopoulou, occurred earlier today.
During the discussion of the bill “Strengthening of publicity and transparency in the printed and electronic press” being debated in committee, the president of the Electoral Alliance for Freedom took the floor and for almost an hour and a half she fiercely attacked the representatives of the bodies invited to the Parliament, blaming them for the fact that “Greece is in the last place in terms of freedom of the press”.
Ms Konstantopoulou’s claims provoked a strong reaction from government spokesman Pavlos Marinakis, who accused her of criticising press representatives for not reproducing her lies and propaganda.
“What happened today is a supreme insult,” Marinakis noted, adding that a tragic situation has been created through the responsibility of Ms. Konstnatopoulou, which MPs are forced to endure every time they enter a parliament chamber.
