The Greek armed guard of the ship “Eternity C” was found dead and recovered from the sea by the men of the private British company AMBREY, of which the brother of the rescued man is a member. This is a specialist global maritime safety and risk management company with which the shipowner has signed an agreement for the rescue of its seafarers.

According to protothema.gr information, the special guards recovered other crew members whose number is so far unknown. However, there are missing persons. Meanwhile, the Houthis are holding six crew members hostage.

As protothema.gr reported yesterday, the Greek guard was the last to leave the ship, along with the Filipino captain, when the Eternity C had already started to sink. This evidence came from the testimonies of the first six crew members who were rescued and salvaged.

The Houthi Navy, according to a statement from their military spokesperson, responded to rescue and provide medical care to some of the sailors, transporting them to a safe location. It has not yet been confirmed who is being held. The attack occurred Monday, about 50 nautical miles from the Yemeni port of Hodeidah, when the Eternity C came under fire and floating drones, as well as an attack by gunmen on speedboats.
