Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, said today that he has asked, during a meeting, for First Deputy Prime Minister and Economy Minister, Yulia Svyrydenko, to take over as the country’s prime minister.
The Ukrainian president wrote in a post on the “X” platform:
“We discussed concrete measures to strengthen Ukraine’s economic potential, expand support programs for Ukrainians and upgrade domestic arms production.
To achieve this goal, we are taking the initiative of transforming the executive branch in Ukraine,” he said, adding that he proposed that Svyrydenko lead the government and “significantly renew its work.”
I held a meeting with First Deputy Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko. A report was delivered on the implementation of agreements with European and American partners regarding support for Ukraine reached during the recent Ukraine Recovery Conference.
