The weather in Greece will develop smoothly at least until the first ten days of August with no heat and mercury at normal seasonal values, according to the forecast of Thodoris Kolydas. The Star meteorologist said in a post that there will be transient instability mainly in the north.
A clear message that no new heat wave is coming to our country was sent by meteorologist, Klearchos Marousakis, with the latest forecasts indicating warm weather with normal temperatures, but also phenomena of instability from the beginning of the week, with a drop in temperature from the middle of the week onwards. As he points out, this trend looks set to continue until August 15, with windy weather prevailing thereafter.
Marousakis’ post
“The last 24 hours and despite the fact that the temperature has dropped satisfactorily, accompanied by several rainfalls, estimates of a new heat wave and even an African heat wave are being reproduced, as if the heat waves are expected from northern Europe.
According to the data available to us from most forecasting systems as well as our own, this is not coming from anywhere. On the contrary, not a heatwave is not coming but we will also be faced in the new week with instability phenomena that may even cause problems and as a result we may see the mercury retreat again towards the middle of the new week and beyond.
This through the 10th or 12th of the month I will venture to give it as a trend and into the 15th of August where after the wave of instability, the melts will take over.
The heat wave being talked about by some is for areas of Europe from Italy and westward.
For after the 15th we will see them when we have usable forecast data in hand.
Attached is a temperature chart from our forecast system where we have marked the heatwave levels so you can get an idea of how far below that we will be.
Happy rest of Saturday to all!““
