Qatar announced that it is setting up a special legal team to explore ways of holding Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu accountable, accusing him of a serious breach of international law.
At the press conference, the Qatari Prime Minister called the attack “an act of state terrorism carried out under the responsibility of the Israeli Prime Minister” and stressed that it constituted “a violation of sovereignty.”
In an official statement issued after the briefing, it was noted that “the State of Qatar reserves the right to respond to the Israeli attack and will act decisively against any reckless action or assault that threatens the security and stability of the region.”
The same statement emphasized that “all necessary measures will be taken in response” and added that “Qatar will carry out a comprehensive review of its policies and procedures with the aim of preventing similar actions and avoiding their recurrence.”
