“After 19 years, the Euroleague Final 4 is returning to Greece,” Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said in a video published on TikTok.

Holding a basketball in his hands and to the accompaniment of “Eye of the Tiger”, Mitsotakis commented that after the national team’s great qualification to the Eurobasket semi-finals, “today we had another very good news for Greek basketball”, as the Final 4 returns to Athens and will be held at OAKA.

“It is a vindication of our government’s efforts to bring great sporting events to our country,” he said, expressing hope to see both Greek teams in the Final 4 and the final.
