With the help of the police dog “Orfeas“, the officers of the Narcotics Department of the Sub-Directorate for the Prosecution and Detection of Crimes of Kastoria proceeded on Tuesday afternoon (16/9) to the arrest of a 54-year-old man for the cultivation of cannabis and for drug trafficking.

In particular, in the context of a coordinated action that took place yesterday in an area of Castoria, the 54-year-old man was found in possession of 2.2 grams of raw cannabis in powder form.

In searches at the home and farm of the arrested man, another seven cannabis seedlings, from 1.30 to 3 metres in height, in full growth, one uprooted cannabis seedling, at the stage of drying, 2 metres in height, quantities of raw cannabis, net weight 16.2 grams, and a grater with cannabis residues were found.

Against the 54-year-old man, a criminal case of a felony nature was formed for the cultivation of cannabis seedlings and drug trafficking, while the arrested man was taken to the Prosecutor of the Kastoria Municipal Court.
