A slight drop in temperatures and strong winds that have grounded ships in ports are the main features of the weather for Friday (19.09.2025).
The weather has started to “break” since Thursday and it looks like this change will stay at least until Saturday. Both today and tomorrow, winds will be gusty at 8 to 9 Beaufort in the Aegean Sea while temperatures will drop further.

According to the National Meteorological Service forecast for today, the weather is generally clear with limited clouds in places in Crete and the eastern mainland, mainly until midday.

The winds in the west will blow from the east from 3 to 5 Beaufort and from the afternoon from the north with the same intensity. In the east it will blow from northern directions 4 to 6 Beaufort and in the Aegean Sea 7 to 8 Beaufort.
The temperature will drop slightly in the west and south. It will reach 29 to 30 degrees Celsius in the west, the Dodecanese and southern Crete, 27 to 28 and locally 29 degrees in the rest of the mainland, while in the rest of the island country it will not exceed 25 to 26 degrees Celsius.
